Kfar-Ganim

"Kfar-Ganim" is the biggest neighborhood and one of the nicest in Petah-Tikva currently.

Cfar-Ganim is divided into three parts- A, B, and C. Kfar-Ganim A is the oldest part, In Kfar-Ganim A teh Hasharon Hospitaol is situated. In part B are most of the buildings and C is the new and modern part of the neighborhood.

Kfar-Ganim was founded in the year 1920. The first settlers were Jews that came from Russia. They wanted to develop agriculture. But the Arabs bothered them a lot. One of the first things they did was to dig a well but they still did not have water because they had no pipes from the well to their houses. So, during a period of two years they were bringing water from Petah-Tikva in bags on donkeys. After they had pipes, life was better.

The first families of Kfar-Ganim planted trees and vegetables and also grew animals like sheep, cows, chicken and lambs.

Kfar-Ganim became a very beautiful neighborhood: it was full of gardens, flowers, trees, orchards and fields.

Today, Kfar-Ganim is full of high buildings, but you can still see the green part of it
